Graphic Designer & Visual Storytelling

I am a long-time graphic designer based in Chicago. I specialize in print design, packaging design and production, digital illustration, and 360 campaigns. I have worn many hats as a graphic designer on big and small teams; art director, senior graphic designer, web designer, and teaching artist.

My design philosophy is "form follows function" (Louis Sullivan). Designing for a person's user experience is more important than personal aesthetics. Branding is important; making the logo bigger will not necessarily achieve goals without substantial value.

My job is to use my skills to problem-solve outside of the box.

For most of my career, I have worked in the healthcare and non-profit sectors. I apply myself to "Go Do Good" every day.

I love purpose-driven design. I enjoy nature, watercolor painting, monthly art challenges, being a maker and a doer, I took many years of screen printing, learning new design techniques, relearning some coding, reading books, building with Legos, sharing food (not sharing pastries), good conversation, exploring cities, and taking pictures.

I take on freelance projects for fun here and there. If you want to team up, I am open to hearing a project proposal!
